Laboratory Urine Drug Testing
Urine testing is current best practice in the workplace since it is inexpensive, accurate and gives a good detection window on drug use. Screening can be carried out on-site, providing results within 10 minutes. Positive samples can then be sent to laboratory for legally defensible confirmation. Alternatively, all samples can be sent straight to the laboratory for analysis.
We provide a complete 'chain of custody' NAMAS accredited laboratory urine drug testing service to UKAS standards.
Urine drug samples are taken under strict procedures known as 'chain-of-custody'. The sample is separated into two containers which are uniquely sealed and bar-coded and then sent to our laboratory for analysis. One of the samples is tested at the laboratory, the other is stored.
'Chain-of-custody' ensures that the sample travels in an intact and secure manner from the donor to the laboratory and all the way through the analytical process up to, and including, the reporting of the laboratory results and medical review. It is important that the Chain-of-custody can be demonstrated to be intact throughout the whole process.
We also provide a 24 hour, 365 day, National Collection Service to conduct all types of sample collections should you require independent experts to do this.
The two services available include adulteration testing, rapid confidential reporting of results, results certificates and medical review:-
